Warranty

WATCHES


All Hartley Watches are covered by a two-year warranty from the date of purchase, which exceeds the minimum legal requirement in many jurisdictions. This warranty covers manufacturing defects on the watch itself, including the movement, case, and crystal. Parts other than those listed are not covered by this warranty. To request a replacement covered under this warranty, please email us at contact@hartleywatches.com. In your email, please include your name, address, order number, and a detailed description of the issue, along with accompanying photos where possible.

Please note the following cases where repair or replacement may incur a charge, even during the warranty period:

  • Failure or damage caused by improper use or carelessness (knocks, dents, crushing, broken crystal, etc.)
  • Failure or damage caused by unjustifiable repair or modification
  • Failure or damage caused by fire or water (our watches are water-resistant, not waterproof; do not submerge your watch)
  • Aesthetic changes due to normal wear and tear (minor scratches on the case/crystal, alteration of wristband color, peeling of plating)
  • Missing retail store and purchase date information on the warranty
  • Failure to submit the warranty along with the watch
  • Battery replacement

In cases where the original parts are unavailable, substitutes may be used for the case, dial, hands, crystal, watchband, or other parts.

This warranty ensures that you can receive free replacements according to the terms herein and within the specified period, and does not limit any lawful rights of the customer.

Please note that all orders placed before September 1, 2017, were covered by a 12-month warranty period.

 



RINGS


Our rings are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, in compliance with legal requirements. Please inspect your ring upon receipt and contact us at contact@hartleywatches.com within 30 days if you believe it has a defect. We will assess the issue and determine the appropriate course of action, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Please avoid submerging your ring in water, as this may cause discoloration. Normal wear and tear, misuse, or damage caused by the user are not covered under this warranty.

 



FOUNTAIN PENS


Our fountain pens are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, in compliance with legal requirements. Please inspect your fountain pen upon receipt and contact us at contact@hartleywatches.com within 30 days if you believe it has a defect. We will assess the issue and determine the appropriate course of action, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

Please avoid exposing your fountain pen to water, as this may cause discoloration or damage. Additionally, ensure you use reputable ink suitable for fountain pens, as improper ink can damage the nib or feed. Avoid pressing too hard when writing, as this may damage the nib.

 



LEATHER WALLETS


Our leather wallets are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, in compliance with legal requirements. Please inspect your wallet upon receipt and contact us at contact@hartleywatches.com within 30 days if you believe it has a defect. We will assess the issue and determine the appropriate course of action, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.

 


 

COLLECTOR'S BOX

 

Our collector's boxes are covered by a warranty against manufacturing defects for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase, in compliance with legal requirements. Please inspect your collector's box upon receipt and contact us at contact@hartleywatches.com within 30 days if you believe it has a defect. We will assess the issue and determine the appropriate course of action, which may include repair, replacement, or refund, depending on the circumstances.
